Switzerland Reduces F-35 Fighter Jet Order Over Rising Costs
Switzerland will now purchase around 30 F-35A Lightning IIs, six fewer than initially planned, due to escalating costs. Earlier, it canceled 36 jets from the original plan. Defense Minister Martin Pfister added that the government will request an additional 394 million Swiss francs ($505 million) from parliament to cover the shortfall.
