WhatsApp Wins ₹1,400 Crore Lawsuit Over Pegasus Spyware
A U.S. jury awarded WhatsApp $167 million (₹1,400+ crore) in damages after ruling that Israel's NSO Group illegally used Pegasus spyware to hack 1,400 users. Meta sued in 2019 after targeting of journalists and activists. WhatsApp plans to donate part of the damages and seek a permanent block on future attacks.
